NICEATM requests (Federal Register, Vol. 73, No. 66, page 18535-18536, April 4, 2008) nominations of scientists with relevant knowledge and experience to serve on an expert panel should it be convened. Areas of relevant expertise include, but are not limited to:

  • Biostatistics
  • Human and veterinary ophthalmology, with an emphasis on evaluation and treatment of chemical injuries
  • In vivo ocular toxicity testing
  • In vitro ocular toxicology
  • Test method validation

Each nomination should include the nominee’s name, affiliation, contact information (i.e., mailing address, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers), curriculum vitae, and a brief summary of relevant experience and qualifications. NICEATM and ICCVAM will consider nominations previously submitted in response to a request for scientific experts for the evaluation of in vitro ocular test methods (Federal Register Vol. 70, No. 53, pp. 13512-13513, March 21, 2005, available at http://iccvam.niehs.nih.gov) and do not need to be resubmitted.

For more information, or to submit a nomination to the panel, please contact NICEATM.
